The UFC 116 betting main event looks on paper to be quite intriguing for MMA fight betting fanatics.
But when the rubber hits the pavement and UFC betting champion Brock Lesnar and Interim Champion Shane Carwin step into the Octagon it will likely be anything but intriguing.
Lesnar will mop the mat with Carwin in sports betting and quite likely earn a KO win versus the mining engineer from Colorado. Carwin, while his history in the run-up to this UFC 116 probabilities event may be impressive, is simply not in the same class as Lesnar as a competitor.
A great deal has been made of Lesnar’s past career in Vince McMahan’s traveling WWE circus as a performing circus clown. His authority as an MMA competitor has been critically questioned since his UFC wagering debut and carries on to be all the way up this UFC 116 wagering matchup. But it’s not fair, and ridiculous, to compare what he did in his artificial wrestling days to what he’s doing now in the UFC Main Events.
Lesnar (4-1) has shown remarkable progress as an MMA competitor during his short career and has gotten better with every match. He joined the UFC wagering as a robust but raw competitor and slowly his skills and athleticism have been perfected into a quite impressive MMA wagering champion.
Carwin hasn’t fought any person even close to Lesnar’s skill level inside the Octagon in spite of being the owner of an ideal MMA betting history (12-0) and the UFC 116 probabilities matchup will be a rude awakening for the man. The list of fighters that Carwin has defeated against competition that Lesnar has defeated is genuinely not even comparable, though naturally the heavyweight division of the UFC right now is a little thin.
But nobody who’s ever fought Carwin has seen the 2nd round. His impressive win over Frank Mir in his last match at UFC 111 secured Carwin the interim heavyweight championship. And with an undefeated history of 12-0, you’d feel he’d have earned some value. But sports books still consider him the underdog. Carwin himself has claimed that if he touches any person with his hands, he can knock them out. He’s fairly assured in his own skills.
Carwin and Lesnar have plenty of similarities and that may make the UFC 116 betting matchup fairly interesting, at least for a while, but Lesnar should have his way with Carwin and perhaps even knock him out. Both are former wrestling champions and aggressive in their fighting strategies.
The two were originally set to encounter each other at UFC 106, before Shane Carwin won the interim heavyweight championship, but Brock Lesnar pulled out of the match as a result of an illness that kept him from training.
UFC 116 probabilities gamblers are likely to see plenty of striking and with these robust men that opens up plenty of possibilities for a KO. And if any person is going to get Ko’d in this UFC betting match most most likely going to be Carwin.
UFC 116 is scheduled for July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Don’t forget to look into the UFC 116 card for\ the remainder of the bout betting action.
