He was granted a release by the Rams in March of 2009. He was brought in with the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 3-year contract, however was released from that contract in February of this year. He was then signed to a 1-year, $1.7 million contract with the Patriots.
Somehow the Patriots get the job done with Laurence Maroney, Fred Taylor, Kevin Faulk and Sammy Morris, despite the fact that the running game is questionable.
The New England defense is not what it used to be. Jerod Mayo is a quite good linebacker and Vince Wilfork is still a force in the middle. The Patriots are expecting that second round pick Brandon Spikes can make a change right away. The secondary doesn’t make enough huge plays and is average.
