The month of August starts with Jon Jones liked at the sports books versus Vladimir Matyushenko in the highlight matchup of an interesting UFC competition that will be televised on Versus. 
The competition was originally scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City but was moved to San Diego. Jones is a -600 fave in UFC odds at the online sports books to win the headline matchup.

Yushin Okami is -210 versus Mark Munoz, Jake Ellenberger is -170 against John Howard and Tyson Griffin is 3-1 in UFC odds at the online sports books versus Takanori Gomi. That last matchup between Griffin and Gomi should be engaging. Griffin is always fun to watch while Gomi is a Japanese celebrity who’s seeking to get some fame in the U.S. It was supposed to be Joe Stevenson, but he hurt his knee in training, so Griffin was a substitution in this bout.
The preliminary card has Paul Kelly against Jacob Volkmann, Matthew Riddle against DaMarques Johnson, James Irvin against Igor Pokrajac, Brian Stann against Mike Massenzio, Williamy Freire against Thiago Tavares, Darren Elkins against Charles Oliveira and Rob Kimmons against Steve Steinbeiss.
Just six days after this competition, it will be UFC 117 on Saturday, August 7th, so UFC on Versus 2 sets the stage for an exciting month of UFC betting odds action.
