NFL Football Gambling odds makers are stunned by the 0-3 start of the 49ers, who were a football wagering favorite to make the playoffs. Football gambling news has continued to flow out of 49er camp as offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye was fired after last week’s football wagering loss at Kansas City.

San Francisco will go to Atlanta for a competition on Sunday against the resurgent Falcons. The Falcons opened at the online sports book as a 6.5 point favorite and with an over/under of 42 and kickoff is at 1:05 PM Eastern. Fox will be broadcasting the competition.

The 49ers are coming off an embarrassing 31-10 loss to Kansas City in which they were wrongly installed as 2.5 point road favorites as the competition went over the total of 38. San Francisco has a NFL wagering record of 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread with none of their games thus far staying under the total.

Raye directed an offense that is rated 31st in the NFL for scoring. Worse yet, Raye was obviously outcoached in all 3 games and could not even handle the basics of transmitting play calls to the field.

The 49ers defense has not been much better as it ranks dead last in the NFL for points allowed. Head coach Mike Singletary commenced the year as being recognized as the savior of the team but is now solidly ensconced on the hot seat.

The Falcons scored a statement-making 27-24 overtime victory over the New Orleans Saints as 3 point road long shots as the competition went over 49.5. Atlanta currently has a NFL wagering record of 2-1 both straight up and against the spread.

The ground attack headed by Michael Turner’s 231 yards ranks 2nd best in pro football and the Falcons offense ranks sixth in the NFL sport betting. While the defense ranks sixth for points allowed it has surrendered a good chunk of passing yards to rank 22nd in the NFL against the pass.

Atlanta has covered 7 out of their last 10 games as a favorite as well as 7 out of their last 9 football gambling bouts at the Georgia Dome. In 9 out of their last 13 toe to toe meetings in this series, the longshot has gotten the money.
