NFL wagering handicappers still cannot figure out the Giants who have shown no signs of consistency in any way after four football wagering bouts. NFL wagering anticipations continue to go up for the Texans as they are off to a good start in their mission to make the football wagering post season for the first time ever.

The Texans will host the Giants Sunday with a FOX telecast at 1:05 PM Eastern. The online sports book opened up with Houston as a three point home fave.

The Giants have a record of 2-2 both straight up and with the NFL probabilities. The Giants are arriving off a 17-3 Sunday Night Football win over the Chicago Bears as 3.5 point faves. They totally needed that win, or they could have had their year totally unravel.

Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell’s unit had its greatest performance of the year and now ranks third in the NFL for total defense, a sizeable improvement over last year. The offense ranks 7th in yards but just 21st for scoring.

Eli Manning has a average 81.2 quarterback rating and a bad 5/6 touchdown/interception ratio as he’s continuing his erratic play from the second half of last year. Ahmad Bradshaw has been hugely effective out of the backfield with a 5.1 yards per carry average and three touchdowns.

The Texans have a record of 3-1 both straight up and with the football probabilities. Houston scored a 31-24 win and payout at Oakland a week ago as 3.5 point faves and went over the total for the third time this year.

The Texans have found a running game from the shocking commodity of Arian Foster, who has 537 yards and an average of 6.three yards per carry with four tds. Foster was signed to the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and was added onto their active lineup in November of that year. At the start of this year, he replaced Steve Slaton as starting running back and shattered team records in the first game. He posted the second-highest NFL beginning day rushing total. Merely OJ Simpson has a higher record.

Matt Schaub has a 95.6 quarterback rating and a 7/4 TD/INT ratio. Schaub is the starting quarterback and has been since the 2007 year when he was obtained by the Texans. Even with a somewhat weak start versus the Colts, he revitalized hopes for a formidable start to the year when he threw for 497 yards versus the Redskins.

The defense is what might wind up costing Houston a playoff spot as it ranks at the bottom of the charts in the NFL.

The Giants have a challenging assignment as Fewell’s unit will have to continue its improvement versus one of the leading offensive units in the league. Manning’s sporadic play is becoming a concern and if he’s not in top form versus Schaub and Houston it may be impossible for Big Blue to leave with a victory.

The Giants have been a bad value recently with just four NFL wagering payouts in their last 15 matches.
