The Raiders are a simple ½ game far from the top of the AFC West, only before they take their week of rest.

The moment it sailed between the uprights, the Raiders celebrated with the 1st sellout crowd in Oakland since last year’s starter.
The dialogue all week was about the rebirth of a rivalry that was one of the sport’s greatest for 10 years starting in the 1960s. While the play was careless occasionally with 5 turnovers, 27 penalties and 2 blown phony punts, the intensity was top-notch. The Raiders trailed 20-17 when they took over at their 25 with 2:06 to play. The major play came when Ford tore a ball away from a defender for a 29-yard gain to the 22. Oakland rushed to the line and slammed down the ball with seven seconds left, setting the stage for Janikowski’s tying field goal.
