March Madness prospects are on the board at the sports book for the Colonial Athletic Association Championship that kicks off on Friday.



The championship features two teams that should make the NCAA Championship in George Mason and Old Dominion so it should be intriguing to watch. All 12 teams in this league make the championship however the two favorites in March Madness wagering are George Mason and Old Dominion.

George Mason is the top seed as they finished 16-2 in the conference. All of the top 4 seeds get 1st round byes. That means George Mason, Old Dominion, Hofstra and VCU will not play until Saturday. The top seed has done pretty well in this championship winning five of the last 6 years so that is a quality stat for George Mason. VCU does have the home court edge so maybe they might be the surprise squad, plus the Rams most likely have to win this championship to make the NCAA Championship.
Friday, March 4 – 1st Round
#8 NC Wilmington vs #9 Georgia State
#5 Drexel vs #12 Towson
#7 Delaware vs #10 Northeastern
#6 James Madison vs #11 William & Mary
Drexel would manage to be the squad to watch in this round but they had trouble vs Towson although they won both contests. Towson didn’t win a match in the nfl all seasons but they have won in the 1st round of the CAA Championship in each one of the last 4 years.
Saturday, March 5 – 2nd Round
#1 George Mason vs NC Wilmington-Georgia State victor
#4 VCU vs Drexel-Towson victor
#2 Old Dominion vs Delaware-Northeastern victor
number three Hofstra vs James Madison-William & Mary victor
The 2nd round contests should see the top seeds win in March Madness prospects despite the fact that Drexel has the capacity to beat VCU. If all of it goes according to form then it should be George Mason competing Old Dominion in Monday’s championship competition. The two teams that may have the ability to upset that situation are Drexel and VCU but we know one of them will be gone due to the fact they figure to meet in the 2nd round on Saturday.
