A strong argument could be made that no 2 squads in football are in more of a tailspin than the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. The Nov 27 game will offer one of these squads a shot to salvage their year. The squads had different expectations at the beginning of the year. Starting this year head coach Rex Ryan was forecasting this would finally be the year they would progress to the Superbowl as the New York Jets have been to the last 2 AFC Tournament contests. The Bills, on the other hand, haven’t had a winning year since 2004 and were a depressing 4-12 a year ago.

Football bets

The Bills astounded the league by beginning 5-2 behind the outstanding running of Fred Jackson and wise game managing of qb Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Bills’ bid for their 1st winning year in years has become less encouraging, however, as they have lost their last 3 contests. The New York Jets have been inconsistent all year. They won their 1st 2 contests, then lost their next 3, won 3 consecutively after that, then tumbled 2 more consecutively. Both squads are now 5-5.

Gamble on horses

On Nov 27, the Bills play at the New York Jets in a match that could be pivotal for both squads. The Bills have an opportunistic defense that could make things hard for New York Jets qb Mark Sanchez, who’s prone to making misguided throws. But recently that Bills defense hasn’t been useful in stopping anybody, and just 3 weeks ago the New York Jets hammered the Bills 27-11 in Buffalo. While both squads are struggling, it appears the Bills are the team that has entirely fallen apart, losing their last 3 contests by a combined score of 106-26. Starting New York to play a New York Jets defense that is looking to make a statement may not be the way for the Bills to right the ship.
